American Superstar Wale has said that he will be coming to Ghana for the first time. He revealed this on his Twitter account.
The year of return, an initiative by the current Ghanaian government is aimed at marking 400 years since the first black slaves landed in Jamestown, Virginia. It has already seen a number of American celebrities making their way to Ghana to learn and appreciate their beautiful ancestral roots and culture.
Just recently comedian Steve Harvey landed in Ghana with his family. Other celebrities like Kofi Kingston, Michael Jai White, Nicole Ari Parker and others are black American celebrities who have had a touch of the indigenous Ghanaian culture.
Olubowale Victor Akintimehin popularly known as Wale is a Nigerian based in America. He was born in Washington DC in the United States. Wale rose to fame in 2006 when his song titled “Dig Dug” became a worldwide hit.
He has featured Superstars like Akon, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross among others.
Not forgetting his root, he has however featured African Superstars like Wizkid, Davido and many others.
