Controversial dancehall artist Shatta Wale has made a very surprising decision which has gotten the lips of Ghanaians moving.
The dancehall artist has taken to social media to disclose his intention to retire from participating in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
In the just ended VGMA Awards event which took place at Accra Conference on 18th May, The Self Acclaimed Dancehall King was seen moving towards the stage in a manner that his arch rival Stonebwoy and his camp found rather suspicious when he was announced Reggae Dancehall artist of the year.
The Commotion which aggravated tempers compelled Stonebwoy to pull out a gun in his defense, which nearly ruined the beautifully plotted event.
However the two great artists were picked up by police the following day, with them spending the night in behind bars..
The dancehall musicians were arranged before Court yesterday but however pleaded not guilty to the offenses they were charged with. Both artists were later bailed GHC 50,000 each.
A day before court, Shatta has made a move to stay away from the award scheme.
Meanwhile Charterhouse held a press conference today after the unfortunate incident, at the end the two dancehall artists have been indefinitely banned from participating in the awards scheme and has been asked them to return awards won at the just ended VGMA night
