Ghana international, Thomas Partey, was in action for Atletico Madrid as they secured a vital 1-0 victory over Valladolid in the Spanish La Liga.
Partey played the entire first half before paving way for Rodrigo Hernandez immediately after recess having been booked in the 38th minute for tripping.
Atletico carried the day due to an own goal by Joaquin Fernandez in the 66th minute to narrowly beat their opponents at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The 25-year-old midfielder has been an instrumental figure in the Atletico set up this term and has been a target of most elite clubs in Europe.
Partey will be hoping to close in on second place with three matches to end the La Liga season after Barcelona was declared winners after their 1-0 win over Levante.
It is however unclear is Partey will decide to stay with several European giants such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal among others after his signature.
