Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Upper Denkyira West in the Central region, Benjamin Ayeh has described former President John Mahama as someone who is continuously making himself irrelevant to the political discourse of Ghana.
The comment by the former MP followed a comment by former President John Mahama on Wednesday when bemoaned what he described as an “unprecedented” insecurity in Ghana under the governing New Patriotic Party becoming a major threat to foreign and domestic investors.
Speaking on Adom TV Badwam show, Thursday, Hon Ayeh said Mr Mahama was only painting a deceitful picture to Ghanaians and the world.
“Mr Mahama is not speaking like a statesman or a former president. He is continuously making himself irrelevant. It is true he is now a flagbearer seeking power, but you need to be honest and truthful with yourself,” he said in Twi..
Meanwhile, Hon Ayeh attributed the insecurity Mr Mahama bemoaned to the leaked tape of the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo in which he was heard allegedly inciting party communicators to engage in violent acts.
