Kofi Kingston, the Ghanaian-born WWE world champion, returns home after 25 years
The newly crowned WWW Champion Kofi Sarkodie Kingston to return to his ancestoral root. The Ghanaian US base wrestler took to his Facebook page to announce the great news after his victory.
“Kingston” Sarkodie-Mensah of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is from Ghana, an Asante born in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region where both his father and mother are from. In fact, the tattoos on his back are Asante Adinkra symbols! Kofi sees this “Year of Return” as a unique opportunity for him to make a historic return of his own to his home Ghana and Africa at the height of his wrestling career”
Kofi Kingston who has been wrestling for the past 11 years and has become the second African American (following Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and first native to hold WWE’s signature title since it debuted in 1963 is set to return to Ghana after his historic win..
