Somewhere in 2018, Controversial man of God, Reverend Obofour made a statement that he will choose dancehall artist Shatta Wale’s songs over some gospel musicians in Ghana.
Today, such statement was made by Gospel musician Paa Boateng.
In an interview with ZionFelix, Paa revealed that he will choose Dancehall artist Shatta Wale’s songs over Gospel musicians Joe Mettle any day.
Responding to the statement on Hitz fm Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Paa iterated that there is no spirituality in Joe Mettle songs and he still stand by his words.
Asked if there is spirituality in Shatta Wale’s songs, he swerved and replied.
“Somehow, but those guys songs are deep”
According to him Shatta Wale and those secular musicians are also doing the work of God and their music inspires.
“A song like Freedom by Shatta Wale makes sense, Kwame Nkrumah said it and Shatta Wale used it to create a song”.
To him its not like he’s condemning Joe Mettle but he’s just been real.
“I’m being real and that is my opinion, Joe Mettle songs are not spiritual to my liking” – He said.
Asked if he will retract or apologize to Joe Mettle, he responded no.
