Ghanaians and Nigerians rated most religious people in Africa, China had the least in the world

Nigeria has been named as the country with the most prayerful people in the world.

This is according to a new report by the Pew Research Center, which has revealed the prayer frequency of countries all over the world

The report claims Nigeria has the most prayerful people in the world, while China has the least of all.

Statistics for the conduction of the survey were gathered over a period of nine years – between 2008 and 2017.

Ninety-five (95%) of respondents from Nigeria said they prayed daily, while India followed with 75%.

Brazil and the United States (US) follow with 61% and 55%, respectively, of respondents saying that they pray on a daily basis.

In all, 84 countries were analysed by the Pew Research Center for the survey in order to determine their religiosity.

Meanwhile, the survey showed that the majority of committed Christians actually live in Ethiopia, East Africa.

The report said Ethiopians pray more and attend religious services more regularly than believers in other countries.

Ghanaians and Nigerians were also rated the second and third most religious people in Africa.
