Son of Highlife legend “Kwabena Akwaboah” and A-List Singer and Composer Akwaboah Jnr, has been accused of stealing a song he composed for uprising act Nautyca which he featured on as well.
According to the said owner of the song K Bibini , he composed, recorded and registered the song title “Obiara W) problem” in 2018, after which he sent the song to Akwaboah to have a listen.
“We are on the same WhatsApp group so when the song was ready I sent it to him to listen” – He said on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty.
“He has the same introduction and the concept of the rich and the poor having problems, but decided to use names I didn’t mention in the song,” he stated.
Responding to the allegation, the multiple Award winning vocalist and songwriter denied all allegations levelled against him, stating that he does not know K Bibini, and subsequently adding that “he is too big to steal a song”.
“I am too big for that, my spirit and soul wouldn’t permit me to do that. To take someone’s song and redo is below my standard,” he stated.
The Sarkcess music signee added.
“I have so many songs to my credit, is it now that I will listen to someone’s song to write mine? If I want to steal someone’s song I would have stolen my grandfather’s.”
